Speaker's Corner...

I just like to talk. Pot Pet Pot Pet...hahaahaha... public speaking...emceeing...debating... when I was in school I even represented Rumah Temenggong (Green) for Pantun Competition... My good friend, Ima would write all the pantun and I presented it during the competition.  We combined our expertise...she with her pantun and me with my confidence in speaking...

The latest project is to have a Speaker's Corner in UniKL MIAT.  The dean has suggested a place where we will turn into a garden.  It doesn't have a name yet,so I call it Laman Nurul Ain...ahakssss... Anyway I really hope it will help students and staff to boost up their confidence in public speaking.

Yesterday we had a competition and it was a good start.  Congratulations to Firdaus, Arun and Izzat ; all from 3BME1 for winning and the others THANK YOU for participating.  My committee members THANK YOU for your contribution.U guys ROCK. Earlier... on Wednesday we had Pidato Competition... like WOW some of the students sounded like politicians.  Hidden talent is like a treasure hunt... when you found it, soooooooooo satisfying :-)

The Speaker's corner is not only for English, it can be for Pidato, Mandarin,Malaysian Studies, Islamic studies,Technical subjects, students election manifesto launch and many many more. The rule of thumb is... eeerrrr... apa yang penting...KERJASAMA... to make this happen many many years in the future.  Insya Allah...

Speaking London?

People ask me how to improve English...the fast way that is... My suggestion would be for you to choose 2 newspapers in different languages from the same company.  Let say your mother tongue is BM, so prepare BM and English (compulsory of course) newspapers from the same company.  Then read the English version of Article A, if you really really really do not understand, check the BM version.  This is easier for some of you who are not dictionary friendly...not even the virtual ones :)

I have had people telling me it worked for them... so try people...there is no harm of trying, but if it does not work...there are many other ways...just do not give up... ALL THE BEST :-)

Raya?

I just can get it off my mind... this style.  Well, I don't have the figure... yet!!! heheh... You never know... hahahaaaaa... Anyway I know this is quite sometime from Rizalman, but it is just a must.  I am really into polda dot.  I can still remember the apek in Ipoh said to me... ooo you suka kain bola bola ya... bola bola as in polka dots... heheheh...

My tailor said May is the last month to place baju kurung etc order.  Sempat ke ni?

MOVIE MARATHON

E-an has gone to Damansara with Han's family and tomorrow is public holiday.Yeay... eerr... Daulat Tuanku... hehehe... also Nur's birthday, Happy Birthday my friend...

Just finished watching Mirror Mirror with Han. In one word...CUTENESS... Julia Roberts, thumbs up (as always...remember Pretty Woman?  I bet you are smiling :-)  I really like the script for this film.  Well done, scriptwriter(s).

Now waiting for Battleship...can it be as good as Transformers? The same creator...just can't wait...40mins to go...look at the ticket...look at the time... this better be good... yawn...

In one word, Battleship was AWESOME... though not as good as Transformers.  Who can beat Bumble Bee, OK? Watch both, people... well you don't have to watch it both back to back :-)  Enjoy...

Madam Ain

People would say... Ala jadik cikgu English jer, bukan susah pun!!! And I would say... Banyak la ko... 

Sorry I am just... very frustrated today.  It is not difficult, but it can be not so easy at times.  Whenever I am down, I always thought of my teachers in Sekolah Menengah Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh.  I was naughty and I guess that is why I find myself in this situation, but what I do not have YET is the patience my teachers had.  

To my students, I may have said things just now, but I meant it in a good way.  SORRY...  My prayers are always with all of you.   Remember, I cannot help you if you do not help yourselves.  May next week be a better class.  See you.

HOCKEY

Shah Rukh Khan... was the coach for India team in the movie I watched on TV with Han last week... well  E-an was also watching in his own way.  

Hockey.. I just love the game.  I was the goalkeeper for my school, SMRPB team and college team in UPM. My mother would go to the games to give her support when I was representing my school.  She was actually a hockey player back then.  One thing I could never forget when I received a card and was asked to stay behind the goal post. Duration?  I cannot remember.  Funny, but when I watched the movie I realized that losing 1 player will break the team spirit and always an advantage to the other team.  To Bainun hockey team 1991-1995, I know it is irrelevant now, but I am so sorry for my ignorance... Peace :-)

 

I also watched Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.  My friends (you know who you are...ngeee) and I would rush after work and queued to buy the tickets. We would go for most of the important games.  I wish I still have the time to go.  Maybe not now... maybe in the near future.  Insya Allah...

Oh we have just passed April Fool which was also my MIL's birthday, Happy Birthday Ma... 

I just realized that there are 8 months to go this year.

STRONG CHILDREN

Yes....he was still sleeping. I think he thought he was still in bed. 
This was taken around 7.55am, last Friday.

PITY!!! This might be a common scenario for parents who are without maids sending their children to the caretaker , babysitter or nursery... good for you if you are working and your family is just around the corner. I was brought up at home although my parents were working, so when I had to send E-an to the babysitter...I had mixed feelings... I can still remember when my Maternity Leave ended, I cried all the way from Ipoh to Sepang (or maybe half of the way... hehehe... wink... wink...).  I was really worried of E-an...........

Anyway the issue here is, children nowadays are very strong.  They have to adapt with parents long hours.  Their survival skill started from as young as 2 months or even less!!!  I think these children will be a stronger generation, Insya Allah. Hugs and Kisses...
