SAFETY 1sT
E-an is a handful, very energetic bam bam... hehehe... that I have asked his paedetrician, is he hyper active? His paed said, no...no...no... don't say that... and from my understanding E-an is full of live...full of energy.
Now, that he is wiser, he could escape from the stroller and the I run, you chase game begins. He thinks it is fun, but of course not for us. We could see worried, irritated etc faces from other parents that we decided to use the safety harness. And more stories to share...
We usually use it for our train, boat etc. trips. We have had this situation once where an elderly man at the Pangkor jetty approached my brother-in-law asking him who was attending E-an at that time to let go E-an. He expressed his sympathy for E-an. I felt like we were going against E-an's human rights. My BIL explained to him that it would be chaotic to let him go.
Another incident recently when we took our ERL joyride from BBST to KL Sentral. Everyone was looking. Some of them paused...stopped... and whispered to each other. Allahuakhbar... When we were queueing at the grocery shop, two ladies in front of us were talking in their mother tongue and from the body language I knew they were talking about us. Softly, I defended myself, I am afraid he will run and with all the cases now, I cannot take the risks. The lady said yes, I understand. At first I was shocked that I thought you were treating your son like an animal, but my friend has explained :)
And why I chose to write about this issue this month because a lady actually took a video of us on her iPad without my permission, of course! This was before going off on ETS to Ipoh. There I was, worried that we have gone against E-an's human rights although we are his parents and here we had an intruder eagerly taking a video of us. Now, that is what I call invasion of privacy...erk...

SCHOOL...
I am lost here... how do parents decide which school to send their kids...especially when you are in an hulu place...I am eyeing between Krista or Little Caliph...but just cannot decide....HELP!!!
Krista... nearer to my house and office...
Little Caliph... out of the way...but Islamic...
Is it a good idea if I send E-an to Krista next year since they accept 3years old and Little Caliph when he turns 4 years old?
1 thing for sure, E-an will go for music class after Hari Raya Aidilfitri and drum class next year. Mengaji will start as soon as possible or at least in Ramadhan, hopefully we will learn a lot together. Thank you to my friend,Safura who inspired me to teach mengaji at home. If she can do it, I can do it. Praying E-an can sit still... hehehe...
Allah, permudahkanlah usaha kami. Amin....

STRONG CHILDREN
Yes....he was still sleeping. I think he thought he was still in bed.
This was taken around 7.55am, last Friday.

PITY!!! This might be a common scenario for parents who are without maids sending their children to the caretaker , babysitter or nursery... good for you if you are working and your family is just around the corner. I was brought up at home although my parents were working, so when I had to send E-an to the babysitter...I had mixed feelings... I can still remember when my Maternity Leave ended, I cried all the way from Ipoh to Sepang (or maybe half of the way... hehehe... wink... wink...). I was really worried of E-an...........
Anyway the issue here is, children nowadays are very strong. They have to adapt with parents long hours. Their survival skill started from as young as 2 months or even less!!! I think these children will be a stronger generation, Insya Allah. Hugs and Kisses...

AHMAD RAYYAN AHMAD RAZREEHAN
Mr. Cheeky, I would call him. My less than 2-year old boy... the only one we have for now...hehe. He is full of energy! Talkative and loves to sing. He even hums his own song! Alhamdullilah... a healthy boy, what else a mother can ask for. I still cannot believe that I am a mother... hehehe...
I really
like this photo (with my beloved Mak whom he calls Opah) because of his Awan Nano hair which we had to cut. I
did not agree though because the hair made him different from the others.
Now I guess everyone agrees that I am right. You might be wondering what happened to his nose... he fell down in Ipoh when he was tailing Opah to the kitchen. He just woke up, but very anxious to follow Opah. Anyway, I soooo cannot wait for the
hair to curl back and would like to send him to a talent
agency. Hahahaa...mummy is very ambitious. Well, like people said
everything starts with a dream.
E-an is what everyone calls him. The name is adapted from hitz.fm DJ, Tengku Ian aka Ean. It was during my confinement, we went out to Ipoh Town and I saw the hitz.fm billboard :-) To differentiate, I put a dash in his name. Looks more catchy... Branding is so important. I am happy that he now can call his own name confidently, cannot wait for him to be able to write his own name. Ya Allah, may my son's handwriting is as beautiful as his soul. Amin.
There are so many stories to tell about him, too many actually... but the main thing is E-an sayang... Daddy, and Aaaamy (that is what he calls me!) love you more than words could describe. May Allah always be with us. Amin.
P.S. - Just cannot wait to celebrate his 2nd birthday on 20 May 2012... over la Mummy... ahaks

HFMD
Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease... very common for children who go to nursery. Since E-an goes to a babysitter, I thought a slimmer chance he will get it. I read in the newspaper and my niece, Damia got it when she was in kindy, so I had very basic knowledge. Alhamdullilah we managed to control HFMD from E-an since we sent him to the hospital early... could have been earlier though, but all rooms were fully occupied. With the basic knowledge my husband and I had, we would panic if it was really bad.
It started of with a fever. The dangerous part with this fever was, it does not have anything in between. It is either too hot or too cold. One minute he could not move and another minute he was jumping up and down. Then his mouth was slightly swollen. Saliva increased, at first we thought another tooth coming then my mom who E-an calls Opah suspected ulcer and she managed to find one. That answered why he wanted to eat, but could not and sadly he shrunk. Then his mouth was badly swollen. When we went to the doctor again two days after that, they decided he should be warded. This was when the paediatrician, Dr. Arbaiyah of An-Nur Specialist Hospital, Bangi was in the picture. She found (by force, of course) 5-6 ulsers waiting to burst in E-an's mouth. In less than 10 minutes she suspected HFMD. The next day spots on his body appeared and then CONFIRMED HFMD. To my surprise, there is no medication for this, so I asked HOW? Everyone told me, it will go. Then we as in Han and I, surfed to learn more about HFMD. I spoke to my friends who have experienced it (TQ Emi Marina and Siti Raidah) and I got the same answer, it will go. As I am writing, we are still waiting for the spots on the body to go :-)
The best part was, we could eat ice-cream... hehehe...and the nurse reminded me of another option that is yogurt. E-an has always liked yogurt, but he has never eaten ice-cream this much before... yum yum yum...
Everyone was asking where he got it from. I know it is not from the babysitter's house since the other children are A...OK, well maybe just normal fever. I thought because he has been very friendly that he liked to lay down on the floor or ground whenever he felt like regardless we were at a shopping complex, hypermarket etc etc etc... I know that HFMD is air borne.
jeng... jeng... jeng... Later I learned from Rizal, my good friend, Safura's husband... we sent our children to the same babysitter... he told me that opposite the babysitter's house, her grandchild had HFMD, but surprisingly they would happily go for their evening brisk walking. Alaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmaaaakkkk (E-an's favourite expression)... with that I rest my case... uhuks...
